Greenpeace Published “Green Electronics Survey” for 2011
No. 02/2011 Greenpeace issued the "Green Electronics Survey" where 21 major electronics companies were invited to participate in. In computer monitors, Asus’ VW-247H-HF display came out tops with a highest score, 7.50 points out of 10. Its notebook computer, UL30A, also won number one. As in netbooks, TM8172 from Acer topped the rankings. HP Compaq’s 6005 Pro Ultra-slim was selected as the greenest desktop computers while Sharp Corporation’s LC-52SE1 topped the television category. In smartphones, Sony Ericsson’s Aspen had the highest score, and Samsung’s GT-S75550 was selected the most environmentally friendly mobile phone.
