REACH: EU Restricts Dimethylfumarate
European Commission officially published Regulation (EU) 412/2012 on of May 15, 2012. Regulation (EU) 412/2012 is an amendment of REACH annex 17. Through this amendment the entry 61 Dimethylfumarate (DMF) was added to REACH annex 17. This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The impacted scope has included articles and any parts thereof. Therefore Articles or any parts thereof containing DMF in concentrations greater than 0.1mg/kg shall not be placed on the market.
Besides, the amendment of the Entry 18a “Mercury”, the newly additional entry 62 “phenylmercury compounds” and the newly additional entry 63 “Lead and its compounds” may be published in the official Journal of European Union in the middle of August.
