Oman TRA released the new resolution no 1152/2/19/2024-12, which will come into force on August 1, 2024. The main changes are as follows.

Oman TRA released the new resolution no 1152/2/19/2024-12, which will come into force on August 1, 2024. The main changes are as follows:
- The certificate validity is changed from “Permanent” to “Four years”.
- E-labelling is acceptable.
- New label design is announced as below and the following devices are exempt from the requirement to place the type approval label:
- Devices used for automotive-related applications that are pre-equipped in imported vehicles.
- Systems and interface cards that have already been installed in data center cabins before being imported
into the Sultanate of Oman.
- All imported equipment for installation in the public telecommunications networks of licensees.
- Other exemption devices refer to resolution no. 14-1152/2/18/2024.
