With the efforts of the SGS Wireless Communication Laboratory team, SGS Taiwan finally successfully obtained the CTIA Voice Performance Test Program accreditation certificate, leading the industry towards a higher quality voice communication experience.

SGS Taiwan successfully passed all the strict requirements of the CTIA Verified Speech Performance Test Program (SPTP) v2.5 in July 2024, and officially obtained the accreditation certificate from the verification agency in August. This award not only demonstrates SGS Taiwan's professionalism and leading position in the field of acoustic testing, but also symbolizes Taiwan's pivotal role in the acoustic testing standards of the global mobile communications industry.

The CTIA Verified Voice Performance Test Plan v2.5 is a globally recognized set of rigorous testing standards designed to ensure optimal voice quality for mobile devices. Through this verification, SGS Taiwan will be able to provide customers with more comprehensive and professional acoustic testing services, help customers' products successfully pass international verification, and accelerate product launch time.
It is worth mentioning that the importance of CTIA Verified Voice Performance Test Plan v2.5 will increase significantly in the next few months. According to the latest specifications, this program will become an optional requirement in NAPRD03 v6.18 from September 2024, which means that manufacturers will have a 3-month transition period to switch from the original PTCRB acoustic requirements to the new voice performance Test plan. By December 2024, CTIA Verified Voice Performance Test Plan v2.5 will completely replace the PTCRB acoustic requirements in NAPRD03 v6.19 and become a mandatory verification standard.
In addition, in order to cope with the development of emerging technologies such as VoNR (Voice over New Radio), CTIA also expects to incorporate VoNR into the v2.6 version of the specification.
