SGS Support eero in Securing Singapore CLS
As we advance into an era of interconnected devices, authorities worldwide have established cybersecurity regulations for IoT products. Manufacturers must demonstrate that their products meet these cybersecurity standards, and obtaining cybersecurity labels from different markets is a highly effective solution.
The SGS Global Market Access (GMA) team has launched a new service to support manufacturers in obtaining cybersecurity labels. Recently, eero successfully secured the Cybersecurity Labeling Scheme (CLS) for their routers in Singapore with our support.
Markets Advancing Cybersecurity Strategies for IoT Devices
With the rise of IoT, governments around the world are developing cybersecurity policies for connected devices. For example, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) offers the Cybersecurity Labeling Scheme (CLS) to assure consumers that products meet stringent cybersecurity standards through objective evaluations. Similar cybersecurity labeling programs are also being promoted in other markets, such as India and Brazil.
Manufacturers Gain a Competitive Edge with Cybersecurity Labels
Obtaining cybersecurity labels is the most effective and credible solution for manufacturers to not only prove compliance with cybersecurity standards for their IoT products but also gain a competitive advantage. For consumers, a cybersecurity label signals product safety and helps the product stand out in the market, allowing them to make informed choices when selecting among various IoT devices.
