China MIIT Issues Notice of Revocation
MIIT issued《MIIT Notice of Revocation for Two Regulatory Documents Related to The Usage of 40-50 GHz》on March 27, 2025, which will come into force on January 1, 2026, the application of SRRC for point-to-point fixed wireless access systems and mobile broadband wireless access systems operating in the 40-50 GHz frequency band will no longer be accepted or approved from the enforce date.
India
NSecurity ER Not Applicable to Analog CCTV Cameras
BIS has issued a notice on Security Requirements for CCTV cameras. The main points are as follows:
- The Essential Requirement(s) for Security of CCTV order does not apply to analog CCTV cameras.
- For existing registered models, manufacturers must submit a self-declaration listing all analog models of CCTV cameras within the scope of the license.
- After April 9, 2025, all the applications/inclusions of CCTV cameras may only be applied according the following, and the aplicants must apply separately for each type.

- For all the registration no. (R no.) which haven’t follow the new requirement to finish the testing, the status will change to “deferred”, and all the manufacturers need to report the test schedule of new requirememt to BIS within 21 days from the notification date, otherwise the R no. will be cancelled.

Indonesia KOMDIGI Issues Technical Standards for 2G & 3G Telecommunications Equipment
KOMDIGI issued Regulation No. 45 of 2025 to update technical standards for telecommunications equipment and/or GSM and IMT-2000 cellular communication equipment on February 18, 2025, by adding the GSM 850 MHz band. This regulation will take effect on August 18, 2025. The current regulation, Regulation No. 5 of 2019, will remain in force until its revocation is announced by the competent authority.

Malaysia MTSFB Opens Public Solicitations on Draft Technical Codes
MTSFB is inviting public comments on the following draft Technical Codes (TCs).
- MTSFB2409R3: Short Range Devices – Technical Specifications (Third Revision)
- MTSFB2411R0: Communications Equipment – Baseline Requirements
All comments must be submitted to MTSFB no later than May 7, 2025, to be considered for the official revision of the drafts.

IFETEL issued errata for IFT-017-2023 on April 2, 2025, updating the Video Bandwidth (VBW) entry in Section 5.7.2 Minimum Channel Bandwidth Required in the 5,725 – 5,850 MHz Band to “≥ 3 x RBW”.

Vietnam MOST Issues New Frequency Regulations for Wireless Chargers and Wi-Fi 6 GHz
MOST announced that Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN will officially come into effect on May 15, 2025, serving as an amendment and supplement to Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT. The main changes are as follows:
- The permitted frequency range for wireless chargers is adjusted to 315-400 kHz.
- The 5.925-6.425 GHz (6 GHz) frequency band is officially approved for Wi-Fi use.
