FCC Updates KDB 388624 D02 PAG List to v18r08

On March 31, the FCC updated KDB 388624 D02 Pre-Approval Guidance List to v18r08. The main changes are as follows:

  • Introduces CV2XOR for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) equipment operating in the 5,895-5,925 GHz band, namely C-V2X on-board units (OBUs) and roadside units (RSUs) regulated under Part 95L and Part 90M, respectively.
  • Introduces a checklist for ANTTUN to verify that the matching network of the dynamic antenna tuner is finely tuned to the condition that delivers the maximum power emitted from the antenna, which represents the maximum SAR.
  • Introduces a new procedure in PHANTM that simplifies the introduction of nonstandard phantoms used in SAR evaluations. The nonstandard phantom can be authorized via KDB Inquiry (under the Persistent Inquiry Approval procedure) and used without submitting a PAG.
  • Simplifies the checklist for the 6 to 8.5 GHz range in OVER6G by requiring only a single power density measurement corresponding to the highest SAR measured.
  • HAC5GS and RDR255 removed.
