Driving a Sustainable Future: Highlights from the 3rd SGS Green Sustainability Achievement Awards

On December 12, 2025, SGS Taiwan hosted the "2025 Third SGS Green Sustainability Achievement Awards" at SPACE 88 in the Taipei 101 Building. This prestigious event brought together leaders from industry, government, and academia to showcase the latest advancements and trends in corporate sustainability.

Key Themes and Highlights: The ceremony focused on four critical pillars of modern sustainability: Circular Economy, Carbon Management, Hazardous Substance Control, and Eco-label Promotion.

  • Innovative PFAS Verification: A major highlight was the introduction of SGS’s new PFAS Verification technology. Unlike traditional methods, this technology can simultaneously detect both PFAS compounds and polymers without the need for specific standards, significantly enhancing a company's ability to manage material risks and supply chain uncertainty.
  • Recognizing Excellence: The event honored leading enterprises across four award categories: Circular Economy, Carbon Management, Restricted Substances, and the Eco-label Best Partner Award. These awards recognize companies that have successfully integrated recycled materials, optimized carbon footprints, and maintained rigorous control over hazardous substances.
  • Strategic Vision: SGS emphasized that a "green product" mindset extends beyond merely banning chemicals; it involves integrating material circulation and carbon management. Through third-party scientific verification, businesses can increase their use of recycled materials, reduce product lifecycle carbon emissions, and strengthen their ESG and green supply chain image.

Looking Forward: As global environmental regulations—such as those regarding "forever chemicals" (PFAS)—become more stringent in the EU, US, and UK, staying ahead of compliance is vital. SGS remains committed to helping industries adopt circular economy strategies and low-carbon transitions to build a sustainable market foundation
