ITA News Update - Vietnam MIC Released Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT

MIC has released Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT, in which updated the national technical regulation, and the list of products under mandatory Type Approval certification and Declaration of Conformity. The new Circular will come into force from July 01, 2022 and replace Circular 01/2021/TT-BTTTT and Circular 11/2020/TT-BTTTT. The main changes are as follows:

• This Circular applies only to products having HS code and descriptions specified in the List of products
• Add new national technical regulations
  » QCVN 22:2021/BTTTT: Electrical safety for terminals connecting to telecommunications and information
     technology networks, mandatory from January 01, 2023
  » QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT: WLAN 5 GHz, it can apply now and will be mandatory from July 01, 2023
  » QCVN 123:2021/BTTTT: SRD 40-246 GHz
  » QCVN 124:2021/BTTTT: Vehicle Radar 76-77 GHz
  » QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT: 5G SA
  » QCVN 128:2021/BTTTT: 5G base station
  » QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT: 5G NSA

• Remove some products from the mandatory product list
  » VHF radio telephone used on rivers: QCVN 51:2011/BTTTT and QCVN 119:2019/BTTTT
  » Inmarsat F77 equipment used on ship: QCVN 67:2013/BTTTT and QCVN 119:2019/BTTTT
  » Low-Data-Rate data transmission equipment operating in the 5.8 GHz band used for road traffic applications:
     QCVN 75:2013/BTTTT and QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT

• Turn some products from Type approval certification to Declaration of Conformity
  » Vehicle radar 76-77 GHz: QCVN 124:2021/BTTTT and QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT
  » General SRD:
  －  13,553-13,567 MHz: QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT and QCVN 96:2015/BTTTT
  －　26,957-27,283 MHz, 40,66-40,7 MHz: QCVN 73:2013/BTTTT and QCVN 96:2015/BTTTT
