European Union published amendment (EU) 2020/1245 to revise plastic food contact material regulation (EU) NO 10/2011

On September 3^rd of 2020, the Council of Europe published Regulation (EU) 2020/1245 to revise plastic food contact material Regulation (EU) NO 10/2011. This amendment contains important changes to Annexes I, II, IV, and V to the Regulation (EU) No 10/2011. The new law will entry into force on the twentieth day after its publication in the OJEU (Official Journal of the EU). Food contact materials complying with the new regulation, and which were placed on the market before date of applicability (March 23^rd of 2021) may continue to be placed on the market until September 23^rd of 2022 and remain on the market until stocks are exhausted.
