WELL BUILDING PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION

The Indoor Environmental Division of SGS is committed to ensuring optimal indoor air quality, creating environments that are healthy, safe, and comfortable for everyone. WELL certification integrates the realms of architecture and health, with standards formulated by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and certification conducted by the third-party organization, GBCI (Green Business Certification Inc.). WELL focuses on testing, certifying, and monitoring ten key concepts: air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, thermal comfort, sound environment, materials, mental health, and community environment. Certification is awarded in four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

Levels of WELL Certification
Given that the majority of people spend 90% of their time indoors each day, it is essential to ensure the quality of the built environment. On-site performance verification of indoor environments is conducted to guarantee the excellence of the building conditions. These tests encompass indoor air quality, water quality, lighting, thermal comfort, and acoustic environment, aiming to ensure that individuals experience both physical and mental well-being within the built environment, providing better support and enhancement.
WELL Performance Verification
WELL Performance Verification is the final and most crucial step in the WELL certification process. Performance verification requires on-site performance testing conducted by official Performance Testing Organizations accredited by IWBI and GBCI. For WELL Performance Verification, SGS offers WELL Building Performance Verification, ensuring the health of the indoor environment through on-site testing. SGS provides testing services for air quality, water quality, lighting, thermal comfort, and acoustic environment. The performance verification reports issued by SGS serve as the basis for WELL certification.
