On July 1, 2022, India TEC announced to extend the validity of Regular MTCTE Certificate from 5 years to 10 years with immediate effect. For the products that are already certified before announcement date, the validity still remains as 5 years.

Costa Rica
SUTEL Modified Regulation for Mobile Terminal Device
SUTEL in Costa Rica has published RCS-141-2022 “Modificación parcial del procedimiento de homologacion de terminales de telecomunicaciones moviles” to amend partial requirement of homologation for mobile telecommunications terminals, which came into effect on June 16, 2022. According to the new regulation, SUTEL has simplified the homologation procedure by eliminating the Apostille requirement. Now it is sufficient for applicants to provide the hardcopy of notarized declaration letter, legalizing the document will no longer be necessary.
Hong Kong
OFCA Released HKCA 2001 ISSUE 14 Compliance Test Specification – Safety and Electrical Protection Requirements for Subscriber Telecommunications Equipment
June 22, 2022, The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong released HKCA 2001 ISSUE 14, which mainly removed sections 2.1.1 and 2.1.2. Safety report is not required anymore.
India

On July 1, 2022, Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) announced to extend the validity of Regular MTCTE Certificate from 5 years to 10 years with immediate effect. For the products that are already certified before announcement date, the validity still remains as 5 years.
Korea
RRA released No. 2022-13 notification
On June 28, 2022, RRA released updated regulation, the main points are as follows:
- The antenna output of the 3.5 GHz band mobile communication terminal will revise from "200 mW or less" to "400 mW or less", and the power limit are revised from 23dB to 26dB to allow the use of high-power terminals in accordance with the ITU/3GPP international standard.
- The adjacent channel leakage power ratio will be updated from the current "over 30 dB" to "over 31 dB" to comply with ITU/3GPP international standards.
RRA released No. 2022-14 notification
On July 19, 2022, RRA released updated regulation, the main points are as follows:
- “Manufacturing country” refers to the country where equipment is finally made.
- In case there are multiple manufacturing countries, only the final country where equipment is finally made is required to be shown in label.
- In case model name for applying KC certification is the same used for product sales and promotion, it is allowed to mark KC logo and model name only at package and the surface of the device. However, user manual should include KC ID and other mandated label information.
- For Electric sprayer such as hand sanitizer, EMC test can be exempted.
Malaysia
SIRIM Extends Application of IPV6 Interim Type Approval
On July 10, 2022, SIRIM announced the implementation of interim Type Approval for IPv6 cellular device without Wi-Fi interface is extended for another year. It has been taken effect from July 10, 2022, until further notice. As such, all new applications and renewal of Certificate of Conformity (CoC) are allowed with a maximum validity of 1 year. For IPv6 device with other medium (e.g. GPON, ONT, ONU or any device with fiber optic medium without Wi-Fi), interim approval will also be issued with a validity period of 1 year.
Within the interim approval period, applicants must conduct the test in any accredited laboratory and submit the test report for SIRIM evaluation. Full approval will be issued if the IPv6 device complies with the IPv6 requirements.
Kuwait
CITRA Opened Wi-Fi 6E
On June 2, 2022, CITRA updated the Wi-Fi Service Regulation which allows the usage of Wi-Fi 6E, devices must follow the technical requirements as below:

Philippines
DTI Released New Technical Regulation on EV charging equipment and station
Philippines Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released the Department Administrative Order (DAO) 22-10:2022, which provided the new technical regulation prescribing the mandatory product certification of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging equipment and station. This order shall take effect 15 days after its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation.
All manufactures and importers of EV charging requirement and stations will be required to undergo the mandatory PS Licence, SOC (Statement of Confirmation) and/or ICC Certification procedures after 12 months from the date of effective of this order.
