Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) released a Note NO-2022-83513667-APN-DYNART#ENACOM on August 11, 2022, which announced the end of the transition period regarding the acceptance of the new labeling scheme for ENACOM approved devices established by Resolution No. 854/2020 dated August, 2020. Since August 12, 2022, all new applications must use the Registro de Actividades y Materiales de Telecomunicaciones (RAMATEL) draft label for submission. Products that have been previously approved under the CNC ID labeling scheme may still be sold with the CNC ID and do not require a new RAMATEL label.

Australia
Australia Published AS/NZS 62368.1:2022
Australia released new version of safety standard for Audio/video, information and communication technology equipment AS/NZS 62368.1:2022 (adopts from IEC 62368-1:2018) on June 24, 2022. A 3-year transition period has been implemented, which the old version of standard AS/NZS 62368.1:2018 (adopts from IEC 62368-1:2014) will be superseded on June 24, 2025. The existing Certificate of Approval or Certificate of Suitability are valid until their expiry date, however if any modification is applied after the transition period, then the certificate is needed to be updated to the new version of standard.
Bahrain
TRA Plans to Open Wi-Fi 6 and 6E
Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (TRA) released Wi-Fi 6 and 6E will soon be opened on August 17, 2022, further details shall be announced until the regulation is updated.
The main changes are as follows:
- Wi-Fi 6: 5,470 - 5,725 MHz
- Wi-Fi 6E: 5,925 - 6,425 MHz
Brazil
ANATEL Extended the Streamlined Renewal Process to October 31, 2022
Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) released the Official letter nº 265/2022 on July 26, 2022. Due to the remaining impact of COVID-19, ANATEL decided to extend the streamlined renewal process once again and now all certificates with expiration date between March 6, 2020 and October 31, 2022 are exempted for renewal testing and providing new external/internal photos as long as the device was not modified.
China
CNCA Published Latest Standard GB 4943.1-2022
Certification and Accreditation Administration of the P.R.C (CNCA) released the latest standard GB 4943.1-2022 ”Audio/Video, information and communication technology equipment - Part 1: Safety requirements” on July 19, 2022, which will be implemented from August 1, 2023. This latest standard is harmonized from IEC 62368-1:2018, which will replace GB 4943.1-2011 and GB 8898-2011. July 31, 2024 is the deadline for existing certificates to update the standard.

MoC Opened Wi-Fi 6E
Ministry of Communications (MoC) updated the Wireless Telegraph Ordinance on July 4, 2022, which includes allowing the usage of Wi-Fi 6E, the allowed frequency bands and maximum power are as follow:

MCMC Released Updated Regulation Class Assignment No. 2 of 2022
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) released an updated regulation Class Assignment No. 2 of 2022 on July 25, 2022. The main changes are as follows:
- Removed class assignment for Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT)
- Removed frequency bands 2,400-2,500 MHz and 5,725-5,875 MHz of Inductive application device
- Added class assignments for Fixed Satellite Services Earth Station, Personal Locater Beacon (PLB) devices and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) device
- Amended the maximum transmit power of 5,150-5,350 MHz of Short Range Devices (SRD) to the following:

CAK Released the Updated Guidelines on the Use of Radiofrequency Spectrum by Short Range Devices
Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) released an updated Guidelines on the Use of Radiofrequency Spectrum by Short Range Devices on June 2022. The guidelines advise the spectrum usage requirements for SRD applications including the designated frequency bands, maximum radiated power, channel spacing or modulation, maximum occupied bandwidth, and duty cycle. Mauritius
ICTA Opened Wi-Fi 6E
Information & Communication Technologies Authority of Mauritius (ICTA) released the decision No. ICTA/DEC/01/22 on August 4, 2022, which allocation of additional spectrum WiFi 6E for the implementation of Wireless Access Systems including Radio Local Area Networks (WAS/RLAN). The main points are as follows:
- The frequency band 5945-6425 MHz be made available for WAS/RLAN use as follows:
- Indoor Low Power (ILP) devices restricted to indoor use only. Outdoor use of those ILP devices (including in road vehicles)
is not permitted.
- Very Low Power (VLP) devices for both indoor and outdoor use, except for fixed outdoor use. Use of VLP devices on
radio-controlled models is prohibited. - The frequency band 5945-6425 MHz shall be used by WAS/RLAN equipment on a non-exclusive, non-interference and non-protected basis.
- WAS/RLAN devices shall comply with the technical conditions and standardization requirements specified in Annex 1 to the paper.

Made corrections to the conditions of applying 5,150-5,350 MHz band as follows:
- Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) and Transmit Power Control (TPC) only applies to the 5,150-5,350 MHz frequency band
- EIRP vertical radiation angle mask only applies to devices above -7dBW EIRP (200 mW)
Also extended the 57-66 GHz band to 57-71 GHz band.
Singapore
IMDA Issued Security Requirements to Guard Against Network Storms for Cellular Devices
Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) released IMDA TS CD-SEC on July 1, 2022, which defines the minimum technical security requirements for the cellular devices to better safeguard against Network Storms and ensure that the behavior of devices does not jeopardize network resilience.
Devices in the network shall comply with the Connection Efficiency Requirements defined in section 7 of the GSMA TS.34 [1]. (The equipment mentioned in this requirement does not include mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other general consumer electronic products.)
