ITA News Update - China MIIT Released SRRC Certificate Format And Regulation Regarding CMIIT ID
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released《SRRC Certificate Format》and《Regulation Regarding CMIIT ID》on August 31, 2023. And both will come into force on December 1, 2023.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released《SRRC Certificate Format》and《Regulation Regarding CMIIT ID》on August 31, 2023. And both will come into force on December 1, 2023. The main points are as follows:
- Certificate format: There is a new page for information of manufacturer
- Regulation Regarding CMIIT ID:

CMIIT ID: AABCCDDDEEEE. Total 12 digits which includes English letters and numbers. There is additional (M) at the end for the SRRC certified limited module. |

AA |
Year code by 2 numbers. Ex. Certificate is applied in 2023, then it should be “23”. |

B |
Equipment code by 1 English capital letter which is released by MIIT. |

CC |
Territory code by 2 numbers which is released by MIIT. |

DDD |
Manufacturer code by 3 digits which include English letters and at least 1 number. The system will provide it randomly and there is no English letter “I” and “O”. This manufacturer code is lifetime and it can’t be changed or revised due to change of company name. |

EEEE |
Autonomous code by 4 digits which include English letter and numbers. First digit can be an English capital letter or a number but the rest 3 digits must be numbers. |
