Thailand OCPB (The Office of the Consumer Protection Board) released a notification which signed by the Thai Labeling Committee on July 4, 2023, designating the personal computers and computer-related equipment as label-regulated products. Labels must including the information in Thai and/or Thai and other national languages. The notification becomes effective on November 1, 2023.

Argentina
ENACOM Resolution 1132/2023 for Frequency Hopping and Broadband Devices Came Into Force
Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) released Resolution 1132/2023 on August 16, 2023 for new standards for Frequency Hopping and Broadband Digital Modulation Systems, defining specific testing methods, and it came into force on November 17, 2023. For the devices with DSSS/FHSS interfaces, such as WiFi/Bluetooth/Zigbee/LoRa, etc., retesting is required for renewal process.
Bolivia
ATT Released New Resolution ATT-DJ-RAR-TL LP 443/2023 For Type Approval Guideline
The Telecommunications and Transportation Authority of Bolivia (ATT) released a new regulatory administrative resolution ATT-DJ-RAR-TL LP 443/2023 on September 28, 2023, which replace the old resolution ATT-DJ-RA TL 1022/2013. The main change to the certification procedure including adjustments to improve delivery time and clarifications on the procedures for certificate renewal, modification and updates. Also, previously released Approval certificates are still valid until its expiration date. This resolution has been forced on October 24, 2023.

SDPPI Opened Consultation for Telecommunication Equipment’s Antenna Technical Standards
Directorate General of Posts and Information Resources & Equipment (SDPPI) opened public consultation for Technical Standards of Telecommunication Equipment’s Antenna during October 19 to October 30 in 2023. The regulation covers below antennas:
- Base station antenna based on International Mobile Telecommunication technology standards
- Microwave link antenna
- Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) antenna for backhaul purpose
- Broadband wireless access antenna
Opened Consultation for Updated Telecommunication Equipment Regulation No. 16 of 2018
Ministry of Communications and Informatic opened public consultation for Regulation Number 16 of 2018 during November 10 to November 17 in 2023. The main changes are as follows:
- The payment period of Payment Notification Letter extended from 5 days to 10 days
- Certification can be submitted by government agencies, international organizations and individuals
- Certificate does not have validity period; but if Telecommunications Equipment is still manufactured, assembled, or entered for trade and/or use in the territory of Indonesia after 3 years since the certificate was issued, it is mandatory to have a new certificate
- Warning label is mandatory for all Telecommunications Equipment including Short Range Devices
- After receiving the Payment Notification Letter, if the payment is not completed twice within 1 year period, the applicant will be subjected to a sanction of terminating certificate services for 6 months

Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) released IMDA TS CBS Issue 1 Revision 3 on Nov. 9, 2023. This revision updates the existing technical Specifications for cellular base stations and repeater systems.

OCPB released Labeling Requirements for Personal Computers and Computer-related Equipment
The Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) released a notification which signed by the Thai Labeling Committee on July 4, 2023, designating the personal computers and computer-related equipment as label-regulated products. Labels must including the information in Thai and/or Thai and other national languages, but this does not apply to the products which exported from Thailand to other countries. The notification becomes effective on November 1, 2023. The main points are as follows:
- All personal computers and computer-related equipment must have labels, which should include text, images, logos, or graphics, and should be in Thai or Thai with a foreign language.
- Labels should be clear and readable, containing the following information:
- The name or type of the product
- The registered trademark name of the manufacturer or importer
- For imported goods, the country of production should be indicated
- The address of the manufacturer or importer
- The size, weight, or volume of the product
- Detailed information about the product, including screen size, CPU, GPU, primary memory (including ROM and RAM),
secondary storage, operating system, etc
- Instructions for use, recommendations for use or storage
- Date of production
- Information on whether the product will continue to be developed and whether this may affect future
production/discontinuation or parts supply
- The warranty period for quality assurance, the period for providing repair services or accessories,
and the contact information for service centers (If there is no service center in Thailand, it should be clearly indicated)
- Unit price
TISI Conducted Inspection on Imported Products to Eliminate Inferior Products from the Market
Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) recently conducted inspection without any notification on the imported products from the market and various online platforms, the aim is to eliminate inferior products and prevent non-compliance products enter to the market. To avoid any fine or imprisonment, this is to remind manufacturer/distributor that all controlled goods should comply with the Safety Regulation and bear the valid Safety Mark before selling it into Thailand.
TISI announced adding 7 kinds of electrical appliances into TISI scope during in 2024 -2025
Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) released an announcement on August 30, 2023, which added seven kinds of electrical appliances into TISI scope and will come into force during in 2024 - 2025. Please refer to the above table for detail.

TATT Released Certification Framework Version 2.0
The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad & Tobago (TATT) released the version 2.0 of Equipment Standardization and Certification Framework for the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Sectors on September 25, 2023. The main points are as follows:
- Modular approvals allowed
- Certificate Validity period changed to 5 years
- Certificate revision process clarified
- Rx only devices do not require approval
- Wired devices do not require approval
Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has Published No. 1018 Resolution
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has published No. 1018 resolution about approval of“The Technical Regulation on eco-design requirements for light sources and separate start-up control devices” on September 22, 2023. This regulation has included the list of types of products carry out which bodies of the state market supervision carry out the state market supervision approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 28, 2016 No. 1069, and will be implemented 2 years after the date of publication.
