CORROSION TESTING

Working with our certified laboratory, automotive experts can help you evaluate material quality and eliminate corrosion-related issues (or reduce its impact). These processes ensure that you comply with industry standards such as those promulgated by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (German Institute for Standardization) (eg DIN EN ISO 9227).
Salt Spray Testing
This standard requires that the salt solution be sprayed in the test chamber at 35ºC or 50ºC. The salt spray test is a common practice in the automotive industry. The test exposes materials, equipment and components, and is expected to comply with DIN EN ISO 9227, as well as:
- IEC 60068-2-11 (Internation electrotechnical commisson) – Environmrntal testing – Part 2: Test Ka: Salt Mist
- IEC 60068-2-52 (Internation electrotechnical commisson) – Environmrntal testing – Part 2: Test Kb: Salt Mist, cyclic
- DIN 50021 SS
- DIN 53167
- SAE J2334
- Telcordia GR-63
Industrial Flowing mixied gas corrosion test
The purpose of this test is to evaluate the corrosion resistance of samples (electronic equipment, components, etc.) in a corrosive atmosphere
- IEC 60068-2-60
- IEC 60068-2-42
- IEC 60068-2-43
- EIA-364-65
- Telcordia GR-63
