ISO 22716 COSMETICS - GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES
Introduction
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) officially published the "ISO 22716:2007 Cosmetics - Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) - Guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practices" in 2007. It has been widely accepted by Taiwan, the United States, the European Union, Japan and the ASEAN countries as a common criterion for cosmetics. The development of ISO 22716 management system is suitable for cosmetics factories, because its’ contents is based on GMP, coupled with product safety concerns. The official announcement of the European Union (EC) No 1223/2009 and the implementation of Taiwan’s Cosmetic Hygiene and Safety Act will soon impact the cosmetics industry at all levels.
