ANATEL Releases Act No. 2921 for Personal Mobile Service Radio Frequency Repeaters
ANATEL released Act No. 2921 on March 27, 2024, defining new technical standards and requirements for Personal Mobile Service Radio Frequency Repeaters with 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies, and already came into force. The main points are as follows:
- LTE FDD tests will be carried out according to ETSI TS 136 143 V17.0.0 (2022-04).
- LTE TDD tests will be carried out according to ETSI TS 136 141 V15.4.0 (2018-10).
- 5G NR FR1 (conducted) tests will be carried out according to ETSI TS 138.115-1 V17.0.0 (2023-01).
- 5G NR FR1 (radiated) tests will be carried out according to ETSI TS 138.115-2 V17.0.0 (2023-01).
ANATEL Releases Act No. 5155 for Moblie Phone Chargers
ANATEL released Act No. 5155 with testing requirements for mobile phone chargers on April 17, 2024. The new Act replaces Act No. 5159 issued in 2022 and Act No. 3481 issued in 2019 and will enter into force on October 14, 2024.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) released a notification regarding Security Requirements for CCTV Cameras on April 9, 2024, including verification of software/firmware, communication protocols, security and storage, data encryption, etc. These requirements shall come into force 6 months after the date of its publication.
Indonesia
SDPPI Updates Accredited Overseas Laboratories List
The Directorate General of Posts and Information Resources & Equipment (SDPPI) released Regulation Number 109 of 2024, updating the document evaluation process and the list of accredited overseas laboratories. This regulation is in effect from April 1 until December 31, 2024. The main points are as follows:
- The previous Regulation No. 11 of 2021 is no longer valid.
- Test reports must be issued by an accredited lab, and the testing location mentioned in the test report must be the same as one of the lab locations listed in the regulation.
- Testing scopes (RF, EMC, and Electrical Safety) of the accredited lab are included.
- Optical laser safety is not included in the accredited scope and must be tested in domestic labs.
- Test reports must have a digital signature.

CTT Allows the Use of the 5,925-6,425 MHz Band
Macau Post and Telecommunications (CTT) released Decision No. 64/2024 on April 5, 2024, announcing the use of the 5,925-6,425 MHz frequency band, which came into force on April 6, 2024. The main changes are as follows.

ASEP Releases Resolution AN No. 19090-Telco for New IMT Band Allocations
Based on the results of the public consultation No. 002-2021, on April 1, 2024, the National Public Service Administration of Panama (ASEP) released Resolution AN No. 19090-Telco, allocating the following frequency bands for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT):
- 1,427-1,518 MHz
- 2,300-2,385 MHz
- 24.25-27.5 GHz.

New National Frequency Allocation Plan Comes Into Force
The New Radio Frequency Band Allocation Plan was published in the Official Gazette of RS, No. 9/24 on February 5, 2024, and became effective on February 13, 2024. The previous Regulation (Official Gazette of RS, No. 89/20) will no longer be applicable.
This new plan outlines the allocation of RF bands for specific radio communication services to ensure compliance with international regulations, agreements, and relevant EU directives.
